Man Accused Of Identity Theft In Middletown: Police

The man was arrested following a lengthy investigation, according to police.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A man faces several charges in connection with an identity theft investigation, according to police.

Roan Brown, 38, was arrested Oct. 18 on a warrant following a lengthy investigation involving multiple police departments that determined an identity theft occurred resulting in “various fraudulent transactions,” according to police.

Police said Brown is accused of presenting himself as “another person to obtain a loan, credit card, and vehicle.”

Brown was charged with second-degree larceny, false statement to procure issuance of credit card, credit card theft, illegal use of credit card, receiving goods or services obtained by illegal use of a credit card, first-degree identity theft, criminal impersonation and second-degree forgery.

He was released after posting a $75,000 bond with a court date of Nov. 1.
