Butler told police that once they were inside the apartment, Atkinson pushed her against the kitchen closet door by her neck with his hand. Shen then grabbed a container of old cooking oil and dumped it on him so he would let her go, which he immediately did, police said.
Police observed several scabs and red marks on both sides of Butler’s neck, according to the report.
Officers later located Atkinson on Main Street and said he appeared to be wet. Atkinson confirmed that he had an argument with Butler and she dumped a container of old cooking oil on him and he pushed her back with his hands and walked out of the apartment, according to the police report.
Police contacted the witnesses and they confirmed Butler’s account of the series of events involving Atkinson.
Atkinson and Butler were both issued a misdemeanor summons for disorderly conduct and were scheduled to appear in court on Monday morning.
