Manhole Fire Leads To Traffic Delays In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A manhole fire is leading to traffic delays in the area of Main Street and Court Street, according to police.

Police said the Middletown Fire Department is at the scene and traffic is being directed away from the intersection.

Middletown police have the Route 9 North Exit 15 off ramp to Washington Street blocked temporarily until the power to the traffic lights can be restored, according to officials.

Motorists are advised to use Exit 16 and to expect delays in the area.
