Middlesex United Way Opens 2026-2027 Grant Cycle

Middletown, CT- Middlesex United Way has launched its 2026-2027 Community Impact grant cycle and is seeking applications from local nonprofit organizations implementing programs and initiatives that serve the Middlesex County community.

Grants range from $5,000 to $30,000. The funding can be used to address identified community needs that relate to Middlesex United way's new impact areas:

• Youth Opportunity
• Healthy Communities
• Financial Security
• Community Resiliency.

Grant money may not be used for capital expenditures, scholarship programs, third-party or pass-through contracts, or services delivered outside of Middlesex County. Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) or have a fiscal sponsor that is a 501(c)(3).

Applications will be accepted from Friday, January 16, 2026, through Friday, March 27, 2026. All submissions will then be reviewed by Middlesex United Way's Community Impact Council, which is made up of staff, board members, and community volunteers.

Middlesex United Way is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving lives and creating positive change within the community. Middlesex United Way’s Community Impact Council, made up of volunteers from a variety of backgrounds, awarded more than $300,000 to over a dozen local agencies as part of the 2025-2026 grant cycle. Middlesex United Way also provided funding for Connecticut’s 2-1-1 Helpline that connects callers with vital resources related to housing, employment, and mental health services.
