Middletown 4th of July Fireworks 2019 Traffic Information
Middletown Police announce parking and traffic information, including road closures, for the city's annual fireworks show.
MIDDLETOWN, CT — Middletown Police have announced parking and traffic information, including road closures, that will be in effect for the city’s annual Fireworks Festival on Saturday, June 29. The festival takes place along the bank of the Connecticut River at Harbor Park and the front lawn of the City's Municipal Building at 245 deKoven Drive.
Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with the fireworks being launched over the Connecticut River/Harbor Drive Area around 9:30 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, June 30. Food vendors will be located on Lower Court Street / DeKoven Drive / Harbor Drive.

DeKoven Drive at Washington Street: (no southbound traffic), 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Court Street: (between Melilli Plaza and DeKoven Drive): 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Harbor Drive: 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
DeKoven Drive: 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Dingwall Drive: closed between Metro Square and Dekoven Drive 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
MLK Way: closed between Metro Square and Dekoven Drive 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
River Road: closed between Harbor Drive and Walnut Street 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Eastern Drive: between Silver Street and River Road (southbound traffic only) 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
** Access to Eastern Drive via Walnut Street to River Road
PARKING LOCATIONS:
Main Street, Municipal Lots, Commuter Lot (Eastern Drive), CVH Grounds, and Jackson Corrugated Lot (access from Walnut Street to River Road)
HANDICAPPED PARKING:
South lot of Harbor Drive. Upper City Hall Parking lot.
SPECTATOR VIEWING: City Hall Area, Harbor Area, CVH Grounds.
