TWO COUNTS SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On Aug. 1 at 6:30 p.m., Joshua R. Namnoun, 20, of Maple Branch Road, Meriden, turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — On Aug. 1 at 8:30 p.m., police were called to Price Chopper on Washington Street for a shoplifter in custody, Barry D. Marchinkowski, 46, of Washington Street, who, the report says, was seen by store security concealing three boxes of Trojan condoms and leaving without paying. The report says Marchinkowski said he was sorry but need money and hoped to sell them downtown.

VIOLATION OF PROBATION — On Aug. 1 at 5 p.m., Franklin Brown, 54, of Newfield Street was seen by officers walking in the parking lot of National Paint on Washington Street, knowing he had an outstanding warrant.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — On July 31 at 10:58 p.m., Isaiah Minter, 29, of Meeting House Lane allegedly threw something at his sister, hitting her forehead, causing a cut. Minter admitted he was angry and threw a lighter but didn't think he hit her.

BREACH OF PEACE, TWO COUNTS VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER — On July 31 at 8:36 p.m., Jill T. Lamarr, 49, of Warwick Street was at 278 South Main Street, police say, as an unwanted person while highly intoxicated and uncooperative. She was arrested for another domestic violence incident that same day, police say. At 2:44 p.m., police were called to a fight between Jill and Kenneth Lamarr, 57, her husband, while both were drunk and had bleeding scratches on their faces, the report details. Both denied fighting and medical care. Kenneth was charged with breach of peace.

FAILURE TO RESPOND — On July 31 at 10:47 p.m., police were serving a warrant on Jose A. Perez, 25, of Hotchkiss Street when he was seen thorough a window allegedly smoking marijuana; when a woman answered the door, she told officers he wasn't there, the report says. He was found hiding in a dark bedroom behind the door.

TWO COUNTS SECOND-DEGREE FAILURE TO APPEAR — On July 31 at 10:36 p.m., Kristine McCarthy, 34, of Allene Drive, Hamden, turned herself in on two warrants.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH FINGERPRINTS, INTERFERING WITH OFFICER, BREACH OF PEACE — On July 31 at 6:29 p.m., a male victim was singing and playing guitar near Javapalooza and Empire Pizza, when Joseph Velez, 22, of Main Street threw the microphone on the ground with police watching, laughing and pointing at the victim. Police say Velez smelled of alcohol and ran away but was caught by an officer. The report says he told police he couldn't speak English but the officer said he interviewed him in the past and that was untrue. The report says he's on probation and has a disorderly conduct case pending.

BREACH OF PEACE — On July 31 at 2:50 p.m., Laura Roman, 28, of Hillside Avenue slapped her nephew in the face during a fight, police say.

THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT, ASSAULT PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER — On July 30 at 6:57 p.m., Prichele Clark, 44, of Holmes Drive spat at a doctor trying to treat her and Hunter's Ambulance EMTs at the Middlesex Hospital emergency room and was combative, the report says. Clark spat at two officers and "kept yelling, 'get away from me,'" the report says, so she was Tased and sent to Connecticut Valley Hospital.

VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER — On July 27 at 6:05 p.m., Mario H. Arjune, 26, of Richmond Hill, N.Y., was at a home on Rose Circle when the protected female was walking her granddaughter near her apartment, she saw Arjune behind a bush about three feet away, then walk away quickly, the report says. He told officers he was trying to contact another person.

OPERATION MOTOR VEHICLE WHEN LICENSE IS SUSPENDED, TRAVELING UNREASONABLY FAST, DUI — On July 24 at 5:25 p.m., John D. Lapman Jr., 36, of Woodbury Circle, was driving a Honda Accord on West Street at 49mph in a 25mph zone. The officer said he smelled of alcohol and Lapman admitted to drinking beer then failed a sobriety test, refused to take a breath test and was found with four DUI convictions.

FIFTH-DEGREE LARCENY — On July 21 at 11:13 a.m., someone from New Horizons Battered Women's Shelter called police about a larceny reported by a client, who said her prescription glasses were in the purse of her roommate, Christina A. Miano, 27, of North Street, New Britain. The victim told officers she was new to the shelter and had her belongings rifled through twice; her roommate told her staff goes through looking for drugs. The report says staff denied doing so and she found a Gucci business card on the floor and her Gucci glasses, sunglasses and phone accessories missing; accused her roommate, who blamed it on children visiting the day before. The report says the items were worth $500 in total. Police say the victim admitted she was on methadone and called her children's father to ask if the kids had taken the glasses but changed her story slightly each time, indicating to officers she ways lying, the report says.

OPERATE UNREGISTERED VEHICLE, INSURANCE COVERAGE FAILS MINIMUM — On July 17, James Fiducia, 54, of Victoria Heights was driving a Jeep Liberty at Russell Street and Ridge road with an expired registration, police say. Fiducia told police he lost his job and money was tight, the report details.

THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT, SECOND-DEGREE UNLAWFUL RESTRAINT — On July 30 at 6:10 p.m., a woman called saying she and her ex-boyfriend, Daniel John Ventre, 28, of Pearl Street, had fought verbally after she let him stay the night at her apartment at Traverse Square, the report says, so they could work out their differences. The victim said Ventre got upset when she told him she had "been with" one of his friends, police say, and threw her cell phone against the wall, breaking it. The report says Ventre was smoking and snorting "bath salts" since the day before and he acts out of control after he smoked and she was afraid of him. At 9 a.m., the victim said, Ventres woke up yelling at her because he thought she took his bath salts, so "he began pulling her hair and attempting to choke her," the report says, and told her if she called the police, he'd "burn her house down." Police say Ventre admitted to the smoking and snorting all weekend and they fought, but he was defending himself. The report says he "was having a difficult time focusing on the conversation" and would "randomly begin speaking about different subjects" with glassy and bloodshot eyes, changed his story several times. In the cruiser, police say, Ventre complained of stomach pain and "stated he wanted to kill himself and he would be willing to hurt other people in the process of hurting himself." He was sent to the hospital for evaluation.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT, INTERFERING WITH EMERGENCY CALL, THREATENING — On July 27 at 11:15 p.m., police were called to a home on Washington Street in which a mother said her son, Christopher A. Stone, 25, of Washington Street, spit on her, said he would hit her, and took her phone while she was calling 911, the report says. Her daughter, who confirmed the mother's story, said Stone was upset the mother had gone through his things; Stone admitted only to spitting at the mother but, police say, thought he had missed her.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT, THIRD-DEGREE ASSAULT — On July 27, police were called to a home on Middlefield Street for a domestic assault and found a young man and his mother holding paper towels to their faces. The woman said her husband, Hafiz K. Mahmood, 43, of Middlefield Street, assaulted them after she and he argued about dinner plans, the report says. Mahmood slapped her in the face, and the report says, she fell to the floor and the stepson looked like he would hit her again, police say, so he tried to grab Mahmood's wrist. Mahmood kicked the boy in his face, the report says.
