Middletown Nature Gardens: A Peaceful Place

Maintained by volunteers, these 18 acres of land provide a quiet escape for the most novice hiker.

The city of Middletown purchased the 18 acres of land - now known as the  - in 1995 and dedicated it as open space. 

Entrance to the half-mile, main walking trail can be accessed off Randolph Road. The main trail leads to the back of Wesley Elementary School, with many additional side trails to explore along the way.

There is an abundance of fauna and flora, just keep your eyes open. According to wikipedia there is even a 200 year old sugar maple, which is called the “bee tree" because of the large colony of bees that made it their home.
