Middletown Physician Assistant Fined For Patient’s Death: Report

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A Middletown Physician Assistant has been fined $2,500 by the state Medical Examining Board in connection with a patient’s death, according to the Connecticut Health I-Team.

Lisa Backus of the Connecticut Health I-Team reports Cheryl McDonald, a Physician Assistant with ProHealth Physicians – Middlesex Family Physicians, was issued the fine after a patient died from an undiagnosed pulmonary embolism three days after being instructed to “lose weight” in September 2012.
