Middletown Police Circulate Wanted Poster For Identity Theft Warrant

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Middletown authorities are asking for the public's help locating Juliet B. Ornstein, a 55-year-old woman who has an active arrest warrant, according to the Middletown Police Department.

Ornstein is wanted on charges of Identity Theft in the First Degree under C.G.S. 53a-129b, Larceny in the Second Degree under C.G.S. 53a-123, and Forgery in the Second Degree under C.G.S. 53a-139, according to the department. Police reported that she is suspected of using a stolen identity to make a large withdrawal from a local bank.

Investigators believe Ornstein may be traveling along the East Coast and could be involved in similar incidents, according to the department. The public notice did not say when the alleged bank withdrawal took place or identify the bank.

Police are asking anyone with information on Ornstein’s whereabouts to contact Detective Andrew Brooks at abrooks@middletownct.gov or (860) 638-4000. The department asked callers to reference MPD Case #2600011552.

The department also said that if Ornstein is seen, people should contact law enforcement immediately. No additional identifying details about Ornstein were included in the public notice beyond her name, age and the listed charges.
