MIDDLETOWN, CT — With a parking ban imposed on public streets in Middletown Sunday, the Middletown Police Department, in coordination with the Middletown Department of Public Works, began ticketing and towing vehicles even before the snow hit.

Blizzard conditions and "the need to keep roadways clear for emergency vehicles and snow removal operations," were making things complicated as the storm moved in and intensified overnight," police said.

Police outlined the rules on social media.
