Middletown Postpones Fourth of July Fireworks Display
The threat of inclement weather has postponed the show.

Middletown, CT — With the threat of inclement weather, including thunderstorms, Middletown has postponed the city’s fireworks display until Saturday, Mayor Daniel Drew announced on Thursday.
The festival will begin at 5 p.m. and the fireworks are set for 9:30 p.m.
"Though we would normally wait longer to make a decision regarding postponement, Saturday’s forecast is vastly better than Friday’s – regardless of whether we receive thunderstorms," Drew said in a post on Facebook. "Saturday is supposed to be dry and in the low 80s with a cool and pleasant evening, which will make for a more enjoyable experience for the public.
