Middletown Resident Hired as New Executive Director of Wallingford Housing Authority

The housing authority began looking for an executive director last October.

Middletown resident Kelly McDermott has been hired to be the new executive director of the Wallingford Housing Authority, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports that McDermott received a three-year contract with a base salary of $86,000 and her total annual compensation package is about $100,000 with benefits. She will start on May 4.

The Wallingford Housing Authority had been looking for an executive director since October to take over duties from the New Haven Housing Authority and received 30 applications for the post, according to the Record-Journal.
