Middletown Sex Offender Pleads Guilty of Robbery at Gunpoint
Tyson Mayfield reportedly took $21 and a cell phone from a man in December 2014.

Middletown resident Tyson Mayfield, 33, pleaded guilty to robbery in the second degree on Tuesday, June 3, the Middletown Press reported.
Another man said a man with a gun stole $21, a wallet and his cell phone in December 2014. Police reportedly encountered Mayfield and upon conducting a search, discovered the wallet and phone.
Mayfield filed an Alford Plea, which means he does not admit the act and maintains that he is innocent.

He was convicted of the following felonies, from 2008 to 2013:
- Failure to register as a nonviolent sex offender
- Carrying a dangerous weapon in the Meriden Judicial District
