Shooting Suspect Sought In Middletown: UPDATE
Police say the man should be considered "armed and dangerous" after shooting a person in the face in Middletown.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Police are looking for Kyshone M. Jackson Jr. as the suspect in Thursday’s shooting on Long Lane in Middletown. Shortly after 12 noon on Oct. 18, Middletown Police responded to a report of a victim shot in the face. The suspect left the scene before police arrived, according to Lt. Heather Desmond.
Desmond said the victim was found lying in the middle of Long lane with an apparent gunshot wound to the face. The victim was taken to St. Francis Hospital for treatment of the injuries. Desmond said the extent of the injury is unknown at this time.

Jackson, 22, is described as a black male, 6-feet tall and weighing 140 pounds. Desmond said Jackson should be considered armed and dangerous.
Middletown schools were secured during the incident, according to Desmond.

The area of Long Lane and Santangelo Circle is blocked off to the public so that the police can continue their investigation, according to Desmond.
“You will see police presence in the area for quite some time as evidence is collected,” Desmond said. “We are taking extra precautions for the dismissal at Snow School. You will see a heavy police presence there as well. There is no known threat to the public at this time.”
