Property Tax Filing Deadline Extended

Due to the Monday, Feb. 2, snowstorm, the deadline for property taxes in Connecticut has been extended.

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy today [Monday, Feb. 2] signed Executive Order No. 44, which orders deadlines for Connecticut residents who pay property taxes on a semi-annual or quarterly basis to be extended several days due to the winter weather that has impacted the state over the last week.

“Between the significant snow we received last week, and now with today’s winter weather, extending this deadline will allow some additional time to help residents avoid accumulating interest fees,” Malloy said.

Under the order, the deadline will be extended from Feb. 1 to Feb. 3.
