The ingredients:PERFORMERS: Prepare and perform anything (up to 2 minutes long) that speaks truth to power. Can be Shakespeare, but not required. Performers get in to the party for FREE, but must have at least $50 in sponsorships from patrons in support of their performance. The PERFORMERS who raise the most money WIN GREAT PRIZES!!! PATRONS: The Shakespeare Slam is a fund raiser for this summer's Shakespeare in the Grove production of Hamlet. Performers compete to have the most total sponsorships, so back your favorite performer or multiple performers by making a donation to ARTFARM to support their performance.
PARTYERS: Just pay the $25 and enjoy the best bash ever, featuring lots of great food, wine, beer, live music, Elizabethan and post-Elizabethan Frivolity, and of course the wonderful Slam Performers out-doing one another in creativity, outrageousness and protest.Shakespeare Slam VII promises to be the best one yet.
