A Message From Ron Krom Executive Director Of St. Vincent de Paul Middletown:
It's cold again . . . Our doorbell on 617 Main Street keeps ringing with requests for warm gloves and hats. While some of the homeless have accepted a bed at one of the shelters that serve our area, others are happy that we've opened the Middletown Warming Center for another winter season. We've been handing out sleeping bags for guests to spread out on the floor of the South Congregational Church, one of the three churches that will host this program over the next four months.
This has been an especially difficult year as we have to make up more than $20,000 in lost funding due to the State of CT fiscal crisis. It is a challenging time and that makes your support even more critical.

- 3,200 people will continue to receive 342,000 meals through our soup kitchen and Amazing Grace Food Pantry each year.
- 300 families will receive financial help to pay electric bills and buy heating oil.
- The city's homeless, now more and more people in their early 20s, will find shelter and housing.
- 200 our guests are referred to medical and mental health appointments.
