Another Affordable Housing Project Pitched In Milford: Report
The land in question is less than an acre, according to the proposal.

MILFORD, CT — A developer is seeking to use the state's affordable housing statute as a hammer to secure approval of a 12-unit townhouse development at 178 Seaside Avenue. A developer is seeking to cram 12 units on less than an acre of land, the Milford Mirror reports.
No vote has been taken, but as Milford residents are well aware by now, the state's affordable housing statute allows developers to bypass local zoning laws and essentially do whatever they want. Communities like Milford can deny the projects but in the end they almost-always lose and incur significant legal fees along the way by fighting the developments in court.
Milford officials are hoping to secure a 4-year moratorium on affordable housing developments as the General Assembly approved changes to the affordable housing statute. However, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy has indicated he's not a huge fan of the changes, according to reports including the Connecticut Mirror. It's unclear if Malloy will veto the bill. No decision has been made as of yet.

For the Seaside Avenue project the developer is called GAMS LLC and they'd build four buildings with three units each. Rents for some of the "affordable units" would be between $911 and $1,150, the Milford Mirror reports.
The Mirror reports that GAMS LLC lists Angelo Lisi, Gregory W. Field, Michael Field, and Seann Lisi as members. Another affordable housing project was built about a tenth of a mile from this proposed application.
