MILFORD, CT — Big changes are coming to the Milford Public School system. Superintendent of Schools Elizabeth Feser will be retiring on July 31, and now the district's number two official will also be leaving at the end of the school year, according to the Milford Mirror.

The district's assistant superintendent, Jeff Burt, will leave at the end of the year to become schools chief in Colchester, the Mirror reports. He was hired in 2015 to replace former assistant superintendent Michael Cummings, who took a job in the Fairfield Public Schools.

Burt has 26 years of experience as a professional educator and administrator in Connecticut. His career began in September 1992 as a teacher in the Darien Public School district.
