Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation, Inc. Grant to Boys & Girls Club

The Milford Boys & Girls Club selected to receive a generous grant from the Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation, Inc.

Milford, CT—February 5, 2019—The Milford Boys & Girls Club is very excited to have been selected to receive a generous grant from the Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation, Inc. to support Club programs and initiatives. The DeLuca Foundation has been a stout supporter of our programming for many years. Their support is instrumental in allowing us to expand and develop our programming, as well as increase the number of youth we can serve.

The Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation, Inc., is a private foundation supporting programs that empower people to lead healthy and productive lives through education, awareness and research initiatives is now accepting grant applications. The Foundation was created in 1998 by the late Fred DeLuca, co-founder of the global Subway® restaurant chain. As a teen growing up in Bridgeport, Mr. DeLuca would play basketball at his local Boys and Girls Club.

“The Club is honored to be granted this generous gift. Words cannot express how truly grateful and thankful the Club is for the support from the Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation, as well as SUBWAY,” said Megan Altomare, Executive Director, Boys & Girls Club of Milford. “The grant will be used to support the Club and it’s programs, as well as look to other avenues to expand the reach of the Club.“
