'Large Ocean Storm' May Impact CT's Weather: Here's What We Know
If you love rain and wind then you'll love this weather forecast for CT. Here are the new details on a very rainy weather forecast.
CONNECTICUT — It's going to be a rainy and possibly storm week in Connecticut. Connecticut will see some rain today, tomorrow morning, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Well you get the idea. On the bright side, Tuesday looks good as sun is expected to break out after the early morning rain ends.
The biggest concern for this week is a "large ocean storm" that will come close to us "with rain and wind mid week for Wednesday and Thursday!" says WTNH News 8 Chief Meteorologist Gil Simmons. The question remains as to how close the storm will get to us, which will determine what impacts, if any we see.

As for the present, the National Weather Service says, "A cold front approaches the region from the west during the day today before crossing the area during the evening hours. Ahead of the front, gusty south-southwest winds will allow high temperatures to rise into the 70s, close to 10 degrees above normal in some spots.

"The best chance of showers through the early afternoon hours will remain north and west of New York City, closer to the approaching front. Shower chances then increase from west to east this
afternoon, with the best chances for rain coming late this afternoon into tonight as the cold front crosses the area. In the wake of the front, temperatures will fall into the 50s across much
of the area tonight, with a few readings in the upper 40s possible well north and west of the New York City metro area."
"Showers will come to an end by daybreak Tuesday as high pressure builds towards the area. This will allow partly sunny skies and near normal temperatures to return across much of the region...," the NWS says.
