Milford Cracks Down On Youths On Bikes Harassing Residents: Report
There have been reports on youths on bikes harassing residents. The city adopted a new ordinance aimed to help residents, officials said.

MILFORD, CT — The Board of Aldermen approved a new ordinance Monday night that will allow bikes to be impounded if they are used to harass people, the Milford Mirror reports.
There have been reports of youths, possibly middle-school age, on bikes harassing residents including following one woman home, the Mirror reports.
The New Haven Register reports that the new law prevents bicyclists from "dangerous weaving or zigzagging and gives local police the right to impound a person’s bicycle for violation of the rules."

Residents have been complaining that youths have been dangerously darting into traffic, performing tricks and harassing pedestrians, the Register reports.
Milford Police Capt. John Alexopoulos told the Aldermen the youths are getting more dangerous with their "tricks" due to social media and a desire to top one another.
