Milford Fire Department Called To Hospital For Rescue: WATCH

The Milford Fire Department made a unique rescue on Thursday where they assisted a skateboarder in distress.

MILFORD, CT — The Milford Fire Department made a unique rescue on Thursday.

Emergency crews were called to Milford Hospital to assist staff with an individual that had a steel bearing assembly from a skateboard stuck on their finger.

"Using their machinery rescue bag with special cutting tools, they were able to successfully remove the piece of steel from the finger without additional injury," fire officials said. "Outstanding Squad 1!"
