Milford Firefighters Extinguish Building Fire: Update

Crews were at the scene of the Wednesday morning roof fire.

MILFORD, CT—A roof caught fire at Drill Masters Eldorado Tool on Boston Post Road Wednesday morning.

Firefighters were dispatched around 7:40 a.m. after an employee reported a burning odor in the building, said Battallion Chief Anthony Fabrizi. Work had been done on the roof the previous day.

Crews encountered a smoldering roof and used power tools to cut into a portion in order to quickly extinguish the fire.

Units from Stratford and West Haven Fire Departments provided mutual aid coverage to Milford.

No injuries were reported. Employees were allowed to return to work after fire crews cleared the scene.

Milford’s Fire Marshal’s division is conducting an investigation, and an exact cause has yet to be determined.
