Milford Man Assaults Woman, Pours Gravy on Her Head: Police
The accused allegedly verbally threatened to kill the victim too, police said.

MILFORD, CT — A Milford man is accused of assaulting a woman including with a closed fist and then allegedly poured gravy on her head, police said.
The man also verbally threatened to kill the victim several times, police said.
Police said on Oct. 11 at 2:45 p.m. officers responded to a Bridgeport Avenue residence on the report of a possible domestic violence incident.

Investigation led to the arrest of Jeffrey Halper, 55, of Bridgeport Avenue, who is accused of striking a female several times in the face and arm with a closed fist and pouring gravy on her head, police said.
Harper also told the victim several times he was going to kill her, police said.

He is charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and second-degree threatening.
Halper was released on a promise to appear in Superior Court, Milford on Oct. 12.
