Milford Police Officer Saves a Life
This is the second time in the past 30 days that a Milford police officer has saved a resident's life.

MILFORD, CT - It’s been a whirlwind of heroics and good news stories involving officers of the Milford Police Department lately over the past month.
The latest example comes on March 18 as a city police officer responded to a Hobson Drive residence on the report of an unresponsive subject without a pulse.
Milford Police Officer, Zach Milslagle was first on-scene and immediately began CPR on the person, said Police spokesman Officer Joseph Dempsey in a news release.

“Officer Milslagle continued CPR on the subject and because of his efforts the subject began breathing again,” Dempsey said.
Milford Fire Department and AMR staff arrived shortly after and the subject was then transported to the Emergency Room and left in stable condition.

“The Milford Police Department would like to recognize Officer Zach Milslagle for his heroic efforts,” Dempsey said in a statement.
This is seemingly becoming the norm for the Milford Police Department as on Feb. 26 Patrolman First Class Paul Mazzara did a similar thing. Mazzara found a person unresponsive on Snow Apple Lane and performed CPR and revived the person.
And while this other example wasn’t life-saving in nature, a Milford police officer’s act of kindness went viral on the Internet after a city resident posted a picture of the unidentified officer helping an elderly woman cross the road and he ended up walking her to her home.
