Milford United Way Seeks Support For Annual Campaign Amid Rising Needs
The United Way is seeking donations for its annual campaign as requests for help rise across the community, according to the organization.
MILFORD, CT — The Milford United Way is asking residents, businesses and local organizations to support its annual campaign as requests for assistance increase across the city.
According to the organization, economic conditions over the past year combined with winter have led to what it described as a recent “tsunami” of requests for help from Milford residents.
Kathy Bonetti, director of the Milford United Way, said the organization has assisted hundreds of residents this year through partner agencies, direct client requests and by helping people navigate available resources.

As a result, the Milford United Way said it is focusing on food insecurity, unstable housing and mental health and wellness.
