New Details On 4th Of July Weekend Weather Forecast For CT
There are weather concerns for the upcoming 4th of July holiday weekend. Here is when you can expect rain and possibly thunderstorms.
CONNECTICUT — The very good news for the 4th of July holiday weekend weather forecast is that the actual July 4 date looks perfect with sunshine and temps into the mid 80s. In other words a glorious summer day for everyone who has barbecues and outdoor events to attend including fireworks displays.
Friday, July 5 also will be a nice sunny day too before rain may move in much later in the day.
The not so great news centers on the weekend, Saturday and Sunday, as there is a chance for rain showers and thunderstorms both days. It appears that Saturday is looking to be the rainiest of those days.

The National Weather Service says "Clouds will increase through the day as a weak cold front approaches the region. This front will bring with it a chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, with the best chances of any thunderstorms across New York City and areas to the west. Despite the increased cloud cover, high temperatures will range from the mid 80s to around 90, a few degrees above normal for this time of year.
"Any lingering showers will come to an end overnight, with dry weather returning to the region on Wednesday. Temperatures once again will be a few degrees above normal for the beginning on
July. Conditions then becoming increasingly more humid for the end of the week into the weekend."

WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons says, "clouds passing through at times today and some sunshine too. There could be a brief round of rain showers mid day, it will not last long. Heating up tomorrow and turning mostly sunny. Sunny and hot weather for the Fourth of July! The fifth looks good too!"
