Obituary: Christopher Eric Smith, 39, of Milford

Christopher Eric Smith, 39, of Milford, beloved husband of Tasha Clark Smith, passed away suddenly on September 30, 2016 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born on December 29, 1976 in Port Chester, NY, he was the son of Lester and Uris Smith.

Christopher graduated from Greenwich High School in 1994, and then attended college at Helen Fuld School of Nursing. He worked at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in West Haven, CT as an Emergency Room nurse. Christopher treasured spending all his free time with his children and enjoyed swimming as well. He had a heart of gold and selflessly gave his time to helping and healing others.

In addition to his parents and wife, Christopher is survived by his loving children, David and Michael Smith; adoring stepdaughters, Addyson and Paige Perregaux; devoted brother, Lester (Shannon) Smith, Jr. of Greenwich; cherished sister, Vivian Daley of Washington; niece and nephew Sherie Daley and Joshua Smith; uncles, Tony and Hugh Smith; aunt, Ruby Anderson; and many family and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Mary Taylor Memorial Methodist Church, 168 Broad Street, Milford, CT. Interment to follow at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry Street, Milford, CT.
