Driver Struck Juvenile, Resulting In Serious Injury, Milford Police Say (patch.com) — Milford police say a 70-year-old local man has been charged after allegedly driving a vehicle that struck a juvenile and caused serious injuries in August. He was arrested on a warrant, faces a felony assault with a motor vehicle charge, and is due in court later this month.

Milford Police Union, city leaders meet with state labor board over Flock camera complaint (wtnh.com) — Milford officials and the police union have met with the state labor board as they work through a complaint over the city's use of Flock license-plate cameras. With cameras already paused and removed from residential areas, leaders and residents are now debating privacy, crime-solving benefits, and what a long-term compromise on surveillance technology in Milford should look like.

3. Connecticut just approved $1.9 billion in bonding. Here's what that covers (milfordmirror.com) — Downtown Milford is set to receive $250,000 in newly approved state bonding to replace its basketball courts, part of a massive $1.9 billion package for projects across Connecticut. The funding also covers school construction, transportation upgrades, housing support, park improvements, and repairs to landmarks from Hartford to Norwalk that Milford residents may visit or benefit from indirectly.

True to Yale blue (yale.edu) — Milford plays a proud supporting role in the Pocock family's deep connection to Yale rowing, as legendary boatbuilder Dick Pocock and his son Jim both made their homes here. Their descendants now work at Yale and remain devoted Bulldog sports fans, even donating the last Pocock-built racing shell to the university, keeping Milford firmly in the story of an iconic rowing dynasty.
