Trumbull Woman Left Children Unsupervised In a Hot Parked Car Twice in Milford

She left the children in one parking lot in Milford and drove to another and did the same thing.

Not once but twice, children were allegedly left unsupervised in a hot parked car on Monday in Milford.

Milford police said they received a complaint Monday afternoon regarding children being left unattended inside a vehicle in the parking lot of 1365 Boston Post Road.

The reporting party called police again stating the adult returned to the vehicle and drove to another store at 1405 Boston Post Road where the children were once again left unattended inside their vehicle.

Police arrived at the second location and stayed with the children until Sonya Reilly, 45, of Stonehouse Road in Trumbull, returned to the vehicle.

The state Department of Children and Families was notified of the incident.

Reilly was charged with leaving children unsupervised under the age of 12. She was released on a promise to appear in Superior Court, Milford on September 16.
