Scoopy Doos features Buck's Ice Cream--which is made in Milford. Everyone who has tried Buck's already knows how good it is.
There are lots of "hard" ice cream flavors to choose from--everything from basic vanilla to ginger.
In addition to ice cream, there are six flavors of frozen yogurt, three of italian ice, five of sorbet and six gelati.

My co-worker, who accompanied me, chose two scoops of chocolate on a cake cone. She thought it was really good. I didn't try her cone, but I have tried most of the Buck's flavors and they are always creamy and delicious.
Seeing my kids were not with me, I had an excuse to buy an extra dessert. A kid's portion mojito sorbet was my first dessert. The sorbet was perfect and tasted like a mojito and was tangy with lime.

Next up was "Moose On The Loose." The silly name made me laugh as I enjoyed every bite. The kid's size offered a generous portion and was more than I could eat. Everything meshes well in this cup. The ice cream itself was vanilla with fudge ripples and tiny peanut butter cups. This flavor is a treat within itself. Then you add all the toppings and it turns into--wow! I worked from top to bottom starting with a cherry, whipped cream, then ice cream with peanut butter sauce. The next layer was hot fudge over a dark chocolate brownie (the brownie wasn't warm--it was on the harder side). So you have vanilla ice cream, peanut butter cups, hot fudge, more peanut butter, whipped cream and a cherry. This was really good.
The staff was congenial, and quickly worked through the long line of customers. After you order your ice cream, you can walk down the path to Lisman Landing, where there are many tables and benches --complete with a beautiful view of the harbor. There is also ample parking and restaurants within walking distance to enjoy lunch or dinner beforehand. It truly provides a serene, enjoyable setting.
Total Bill: 1 regular cone, 1 kid's sorbet and 1 kid's sundae: $11.00. Scoopy Doo's is open from spring until the end of October. Pet ice cream treats are also available.
