Woman Hit Milford Restaurant Manager In The Face With Closed Fist: Police

Police say the woman was upset when she was told she couldn't leave the eatery with an alcoholic beverage.

MILFORD, CT — A White Plains, New York female is accused of hitting the manager of a Milford-based restaurant in the face with a closed fist around 2:30 a.m. Saturday because the employee wouldn't let her leave with an alcoholic beverage, police said.

Police said they responded to Mexico Tipico, 1601 Boston Post Road, on a report of an assault. Investigation led to the arrest of Johnisha Minton, 21, of Highland Avenue in White Plains, who is accused of striking the manager in the face with a closed fist after being told she could not leave the restaurant with an alcoholic beverage, police said in a news release.

She is charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace. Minton was released on a promise to appear in Superior Court, Milford on June 27.
