Election Day

Election Day is upon us, and I feel it is important to communicate with you one last time before this campaign is over.

Hopefully, you all have your power back on by now and for those of you still without power, you have my sincerest sympathy.  Power restoration is an important issue for Monroe.  My opponent has praised CL&P’s performance.  I do not think CL&P’s performance has been adequate.  We have endured an unacceptable amount of time without electricity.

Furthermore, I can’t stress enough the need to improve the revenue stream for Monroe– continued borrowing and spending without a serious effort to improve the town’s revenues is a recipe for ruin. 

I am asking for your vote on Tuesday so that we can get Monroe back on track.  I would like to thank the Monroe Patch for giving me the opportunity to present my views to the voters.  Please remember to vote this Tuesday.
