Parks and Recreation Spring Aquatic Programs

Parks and Recreation swim lessons, parent & child aquatics and pre-school aquatics to start in Spring.

Monroe Parks and Recreation will be offering spring aquatic programs.  Additional information and registration on-line at www.MonroeRec.org by April. 

Youth Swim Lessons (ages 4+)

Lessons are based on a logical, six level progression that helps swimmers develop their water safety, survival and swimming skills. It is designed to give participants a positive learning experience.  Session 1A:  April 22-May 8 on Monday and Wednesday.  Session 1B:  April 23-May 9 on Tuesday and Thursday.  Times:  6-6:30 pm (Levels 1,2), 6:30-7 pm (Levels 1,2), 6-7 pm (Level 3), 7-8 pm (Levels 3,4,5).  Fees:  Level 1 and 2 $60 resident/$70 non-resident.  Level 3 and higher:  $70 resident/$80 non-resident.

Parent and Child Aquatics (ages 2-4)

Program builds basic water safety skill for both parents and children, helping young children become comfortable in the water so they are willing and ready to learn to swim.  Session 3:  Saturdays, April 6, 13, 27 and May 4 at 11:30-12 pm.  Fees:  $60 resident/$70 non-resident.

Pre-School Aquatics (ages 4-5)

Program gives young children a positive developmentally appropriate aquatic learning experience that emphasizes water safety, survival and foundational swimming concepts.  Skills are age appropriate, helping participants achieve success on a regular basis while in a class environment with their peers.  Session 3:  Saturdays, April 6, 13, 27 and May 4 at 12-12:30 pm.  Fees:  $60 resident/$70 non-resident.
