Energy, Inspiration, and FIRED UP!! I have been to 5 conventions and the energy last night was more than any of the others. I have been honored, for the last two nights, to hear stalwart party leaders and future rising stars of the party delineate what the ideals and values of the Democratic Party are, refute the untruths of what was said last week in Tampa and lay out what the people of Connecticut need to know in order to make their choice in November. The important point of last night was cooperation. Without cooperation and putting their constituents first, nothing can be accomplished.
To me, the importance of continuing programs that feed the hungry, especially children, Pell Grants that help middle class families afford college education, erasing the issue with insurance companies that women are considered pre-existing conditions.
President Clinton was fabulous and direct in explaining point by point what we have done and what President Obama will continue to do in his next four years. With 60 days left there is much to be done.

The CT Caucus was lively this morning even though most delegates didn't get back to their rooms until 1 or 2 am this morning. We had Governor Malloy, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, Congressman Jim Himes, AFL-CIO President John Olsen, DNC member Anthony Avallone, and Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, Vice Chair Nick Balletto and State Chair Nancy DiNardo.
Passes for guests are near impossible to get since they had to move tonight inside to the arena. There are many disappointed people who would have been able to attend if it was outside at the stadium.I am excited and can't wait to hear another night of dedicated public servants and how the Democratic Party will continue to keep the United States of America at the top of its game.
