Monroe Police Arrest Newtown Man for Robbing Gas Station
The alleged robbery occurred in September on Route 25.

Monroe police have made an arrest for a September robbery of a gas station.
According to the Monroe Courier, Christopher Basso, 25, of Newtown, allegedly committed the Sept. 6 heist at the Buck Stop gas station on Route 25.
At the time, police received a report that a man wearing dark pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and a face-covering mask came into the gas station and said he had a weapon.

A two-month investigation led to Basso’s arrest Thursday, the Courier said. A second suspect is being sought.
