• Hattertown Road Oil Spill Cleanup Nears Completion In Monroe (patch.com) — Monroe residents are seeing the end of the Hattertown Road fuel spill cleanup, more than a month after a Hi-Ho fuel truck overturned near Guinea Road and leaked diesel. Contaminated soil removal is essentially complete, backfilling is underway, and crews will soon restore wetlands and repave Hattertown Road, though the town notes weather could still affect the final timeline.
