7th Annual 'Lions Run' 5K Race/Walk 'Community Challenge

Please find attached a flier and application for the 7th annual Montville Lions ‘Lions Run'. The ‘Lions Run’ is an entertaining 5K road race and walkathon accompanied by a picnic and live music. Over the past 3 years alone the ‘Lions Run’, also known as BRENDAN’S CHALLENGE and KAHLAN’S CHALLENGE, has donated $14,000 to benefit members of our community in need.


Usually, the Lions Club allocates all money raised at the road race to a singular recipient. However, this past year has presented the Club with a vast variety of people in need; ranging from those visually impaired, supply shortage at the local food bank, people who have sustained substantial losses due to natural disasters and/or fire, and those that are still suffering from a struggling economy, among many more. With all this taken into consideration, the Club had decided to dub this year’s race the COMMUNITY CHALLENGE and will donate 100% of the money raised to these various causes.

The course is the same as last year- hills, turns, challenging, entertainment at several points, and heartbreak hill on the home stretch!


The event will take place Sunday, June 2nd, at the Montville Polish American Club on Maple Ave.
Following the race the Lion's clubs will serve picnic style food and provide live entertainment.


$20 before the race includes picnic/entertainment ticket/tshirt

$25 on race day includes picnic/entertainment ticket

$10 picnic/entertainment only ticket.
