On May 29th, Rosetta E. Jones, Montville Town Councilor was unanimously elected to the American Civil Liberties Union of Connecticut, Board of Directors. The ACLU-CT is a non-partisan, non-profit membership organization whose mission is to assure the Bill of Rights and the rights guaranteed by the Connecticut Constitution are preserved for each generation. The ACLU-CT accomplishes these goals through legislative advocacy, litigation, grassroots organizing, and public education on a broad array of issues affecting our liberties. The Board of Directors is involved in a variety of activities to protect freedoms, and advocate for constitutional rights for every town and city throughout the state.
