Gabriella is the children's librarian at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center. She majored in history at Swathmore College and taught for several years at a private school. After moving to the area, she joined the staff and the Mystic and Noank Library. Realizing the importance of professional training, she completed her Master's in Library and Information Studies at URI. In 1996, she was selected to create the Children's Library at the Pequot Museum, which opened in 1988. Gabriella and others developed a series of workshops designed to provide teachers and librarians with the tools they need to make informed decisions when evaluating books about American Indians. She has presented workshops at the Museum and to librarians and educators at conferences and colleges across New England.
