Dime Foundation Awards a $3,000 Grant to the Reliance House, Inc.

Dime Bank Foundation has awarded a $3,000 grant to the Reliance House for their “Teamworks Program”. Teamworks is a psychosocial rehabilitation day program whose purpose is to assist members in achieving goals aimed toward recovery. The grant will help fund their Gardening Club and “Yard Beautification Project” at 124 Laurel Hill Avenue in Norwich. This project will help individuals become more independent and self-sufficient by learning how to grow their own produce, and will also add to the aesthetics of the neighborhood. Reliance House, Inc. has served Norwich and its surrounding communities for over 36 years. The mission of Reliance House is to partner with adults experiencing mental health, addiction, and developmental disabilities to enhance the quality of their lives. Today, the organization serves over 800 individuals annually and employs approximately 250 staff.
