Strawberry Thanksgiving Celebration

Strawberry

Thanksgiving Celebration

Native people celebrate Wutahum Wuyhan (strawberry moon) by giving thanks

for the first berry of the year. Listen to stories at 11 am, make a strawberry

pendant, shop for one of Mishki Thompson’s (Narragansett) spring bows for your

hair, and taste a traditional strawberry drink. Free with Museum admission, free to Museum members. Trudie Lamb Richmond and Candyce Testa are

recipients of the Southern New England Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program,

funded by the National Endowment of the Arts and supported by the

Institute for Community Research and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
