1-Year Old Dead, Homicide Suspect Sought: Naugatuck Police

Naugatuck police are asking for the public's help to locate Christopher Francisquini. The deceased is a 1-year-old child, police said.

NAUGATUCK, CT — The search for homicide suspect Christopher Francisquini, 31, has turned to the New Haven area as he was spotted walking along Quinnipiac Ave. on Friday afternoon, police said.

Francisquini is a homicide suspect in connection to the death of a 1-year-old female, who was related to the suspect, police said. As of Saturday at noon, the suspect remains at-large, police said.

In a Saturday update, police said that Naugatuck Police Detectives continue to work with local, state and federal partners to track down Francisquini. Francisquini was spotted on a surveillance video walking in New Haven, police said.

"The pictured individual matches the clothing description and is believed by investigators to be Francisquini," police said. "We urge anyone with information into his current and most recent whereabouts to come forward and contact NPD at 203-729-5221 or our confidential tip line at 203-720-1010.

Police have said they responded to a Millville Avenue residence in Naugatuck around 11:30 a.m. Friday for an "untimely death." Police said the suspect's vehicle, a 2006 Chevrolet Impala, was located abandoned on Interstate 91 around exit 8 in New Haven on Friday afternoon.

Francisquini is described by police as a 6-foot, 230-pound Black man.
