Acts 4 Ministry, Inc. Received Generous Donations

The non-denominational non-profit Acts 4 Ministry received donations from members of several Waterbury area non-profit service clubs

Acts 4 Ministry, Inc., a non-denominational non-profit organization in Waterbury, received a generous amount of donations of socks, scarves, gloves, underwear, and mittens for adults and children, plus grocery and department store gift cards, from the dozens of members of several Waterbury Service Clubs who attended an Annual Holiday Luncheon organized by the Waterbury Exchange Club on December 6.

Donations given to Acts 4 Ministry by attendees will help the charitable organization meet the basic daily needs of families and individuals who experience financial distress as part of their Share the Warmth Drive.

Photographed at the luncheon at the Waterbury Country Club (left to right) were Susan Sprano, advertising director of the “Republican American”, Waterbury Rotary Club Past President and co-organizer of the luncheon; Cathy Chaikowski, Waterbury Exchange Club President; Ginny O’Rourke Cookson, owner of O’Rourke & Birch Florist, Waterbury Exchange Club Immediate Past President and co-organizer of the luncheon; Susie Jones Szoldra, chair of the Acts 4 Ministry Board of Directors; and Sarah Elizabeth Carabetta, Acts 4 Ministry, Inc. Executive Director.

Mrs. Carabetta commented to attendees, “Acts 4 Ministry is immensely grateful to all the members of various clubs throughout the Waterbury region including the Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club, Waterbury UNICO, St. Vincent DePaul Mission Homeless Shelter, and the Waterbury Exchange Club who give to people-in-need throughout Greater Waterbury each and every day year-to-year. It is a tremendous reward to collaborate with each and every organization in our area to help provide the daily living essentials of food, shelter, and clothing year-round.”
