Acts 4 Ministry Received Gift From Southbury Church

The non-denominational non-profit Acts 4 Ministry received a generous endowment gift from United Church of Christ in Southbury

Acts 4 Ministry, Inc. in Waterbury graciously accepted a generous donation from the United Church of Christ in Southbury amounting to a portion of the interest earned in 2018 on the Church’s Board of Missions and Fellowship Endowment Fund. The interest earned on the Fund is given annually to a single charitable organization with the expectation that Church members will also be able to perform volunteer and other activities within that non-profit organization.

United Church of Christ Endowment Fund Committee Member Pete Peterson stated, “We hope too that with Acts 4 Ministry through our Church Members’ additional donations of furniture, clothing and household goods, and volunteering at Acts 4 Ministry’s retail shop at 1713 Thomaston Avenue in Waterbury.”

The non-denominational Acts 4 Ministry was chosen by the Endowment Fund Committee to support the charitable organization’s continuous ambitions to meet the daily needs of families and individuals throughout the Greater Waterbury region in financial distress, or who have lost their home and possessions to fire, floor or other unexpected life circumstances.

Acts 4 Ministry’s offices and community services store are located at 1713 Thomaston Avenue in Waterbury. Tax-deductible donations may be brought year-round to the location Mondays through Wednesdays 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Thursdays 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. when volunteers and community partners are also welcomed. The store and donation center is open to the general public Thursdays 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Fridays 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Cash or money order donations can also be U.S. Mailed to P.O.
