All roles are open to audition. We are seeking an ensemble of 25-30 performers for this production. There are 10 principal roles (5 women and 5 men) available as well as some featured roles and a large singing, dancing ensemble. Auditioners must bring sheet music with them and be prepared to sing 32 bars, but no more than one minute, of a fully memorized Broadway-style musical selection that showcases their vocal range.

Auditioners should mark their selection with a highlighter. An accompanist will be provided. A cappella singing, instrumentals on CD, Tape, iPod, MP3 Player or digital recorder will not be allowed. Auditioners will also be asked to read from the script and perform a dance combination that will be taught at the audition.

Rehearsals will be held on Sundays (time TBD), Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 7:00pm to 10:00pm beginning Sunday, February 16, 2014. There will be one midweek rehearsal on Thursday, May 8, 2014 .

ABOUT THE SHOW:
PLOT SUMMARY:
Inspired by and featuring the songs of Elvis Presley. It's 1955, and into a square little town in a square little state rides a guitar-playing roustabout who changes everything and everyone he meets in this hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy that'll have you jumpin' out of your blue suede shoes with such classics as "Heartbreak Hotel," "Jailhouse Rock," and "Don't Be Cruel."

AVAILABLE ROLES:
NATALIE HALLER(Early 20's): a mechanic.
CHAD:a great-lookin', motorcycling, guitar-playing, leather-jacketed roustabout.
JIM HALLER(mid 40's-50's): Natalie's widowed father.
SYLVIA(mid 40's): the no-nonsense, African-American owner of SYLVIA'S HONKY-TONK.
LORRAINE:Sylvia's 16 year-old daughter.
DENNIS:a young, awkward, aspiring dentist.
MISS SANDRA:the beautiful, intellectual caretaker of the town's museum.
MAYOR MATILDA HYDE(mid 40's-50's): the town's conservative mayor.
DEAN HYDE:Matilda's 16 year-old son. He has grown up at a military boarding school.
SHERIFF EARL(mid 40's-50's): the law in town. A man of not many words.
