Auditions Announced for 'Love, Sex & the IRS' at the Warner

All roles are open to audition. The Warner Stage Company is seeking five men and three women for this production.

All roles are open to audition. We are seeking five men and three women for this production. All auditioning will be expected to read from the script. Rehearsals will be held on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 7:00pm to 10:00 (Sunday evening rehearsals may start earlier than 7:00pm) beginning Sunday, December 15, 2013. LOVE, SEX & THE IRS will be performed in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre for five performances beginning Saturday, March 1, 2014.

ABOUT THE SHOW:
Here is a wild farce with twists of fate, sight gags, mistaken identities and hilarious comic lines. Jon Trachtman and Leslie Arthur are out of work musicians who room together in New York City. To save money, Jon has been filing tax returns listing the pair as a married. The day of reckoning comes when the Internal Revenue Service informs the "couple" they're going to be investigated by a Mr. Spinner. Leslie masquerades as a housewife, aided by Jon's fiancée, Kate. Complicating matters further Leslie and Kate are having an affair behind Jon's back, Jon's mother drops in unexpectedly to meet her son's fiancée, and Leslie's ex-girlfriend shows up demanding to know why Leslie has changed and won't see her anymore..

Mr. Jansen: a beer-bellied, drunk of a landlord, loud; age range - open
Jon Trachtman: Leslie’s roommate, musician, likeable; age range 20s-30s
Floyd Spinner: I.R.S. inspector, suspicious (everyone tries to cheat the IRS as far as he is concerned);

Vivan Trachtman: Jon’s mother, stoic, opinionated; age range - 50+
Connie: Leslie’s girlfriend; age range 20s-30s
Arnold Grunion: A shady character; age range - open
