Stage @ The Warner will hold auditions for Love, Sex, and the I.R.S. Sunday, March 10 and Monday, March 11 starting at 7 pm, by appointment. Auditions will be held at the Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education.

Those interested in auditioning must schedule an audition time and review guidelines here. Available roles, audition times, and audition materials are available online.

Performances are May 4 - 12 in the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre.

All Tech Week rehearsals (April 28 - May1) as well as Strike following the final performance on May 12 are mandatory.

ABOUT LOVE, SEX, AND THE I.R.S

Jon Trachtman and Leslie Arthur are out of work musicians who room together in New York City. To save money, Jon has been filing tax returns listing the pair as married. The day of reckoning comes when the Internal Revenue Service informs the “couple” they’re going to be investigated. Leslie masquerades as a housewife, aided by Jon’s fiancée, Kate. Complicating matters further, Leslie and Kate are having an affair behind Jon’s back, Jon’s mother drops in unexpectedly to meet her son’s fiancée, and Leslie’s ex-girlfriend shows up demanding to know why Leslie has changed and won’t see her anymore. Like a cross between I Love Lucy and Some Like it Hot.

Auditions are open to the community. Actors of all ethnicities, abilities and gender identities are encouraged to audition and all roles are available. Additionally, roles may be cast without callbacks. The Warner Stage Company is a regional community theatre company and does not offer compensation or housing for performers.
