Broadway Week in New York City

Tickets can be ordered now for performances from January 21st-February 6th.

Each winter, many Broadway theaters take part in the Broadway Week promotion.  Participating theaters offer two-for-one sales on tickets in an effort to entice potential patrons to brave the cold weather and come to Broadway to enjoy a show.

Hardy theatergoers can take advantage of these offers to get tickets to some great shows at half price. Shows that still have tickets available at the offer rate include Cinderella, Matilda, Newsies, Pippin and my personal favorite Wicked. 2 for 1 tickets for The Lion King and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical are currently sold out. Tickets can be ordered now for performances from January 21st-February 6th. Click here to check availability.

And speaking of Wicked, Idina Menzel (the first Elphaba and currently appearing in the new musical If/Then) is the  National Ambassador for Kids' Night on Broadway. Presented by the New York Times, Kids' Night on Broadway runs Monday, Feb. 24 through Sunday, March 2, 2014. Kids' Night on Broadway is a national audience development program of The Broadway League.

Tickets go on sale for this program on Jan. 8 at 10:00am. Kids can see a Broadway show for free, in addition to dinner deals and special events. Adults purchasing a full-price ticket will receive one free ticket for a child age 6-18 for the same show. Participating shows include the ones mentioned above and many more. For tickets and information, visit KidsNightOnBroadway.com.
